When the Lights Go Down
The time of year when girls go on shopping sprees and boys do whatever it takes for a special someone to say yes to the perfect prom proposal has arrived.
On Saturday, April 7, from 8:00 pm to 11:00 pm, prom will be taking place at the Field House. Head of the prom committee, teacher Marina King has enjoyed helping plan prom with coming up with the theme as “When the Lights Go Down in the City Masquerade.” King explained she believes it’s important because you have fun with your friends and make great memories. Plus, she said parents will for sure approve. Students also express how they enjoy the event.
“I love the fact that I get to dress up with all my friends and take pictures and dance the night away,” junior, Peyton Wood said.
The cost to attend prom is just $20 for a single ticket and $30 for a couple ticket. These can be purchased from the junior or senior class officers. However, if you can’t buy them in advance, they will be the same price at the door. In addition, the Rider Media photographers will be capturing your best pose. Pictures are two for $5 and 10 for $5, with each additional picture being $1.
So, get on your dress shoes and head to prom!
