Student Council treasurer Destiny Zynda sat at a wooden fold-up table at Falls Fest coloring on the paper tablecloth, a smile on her face despite the heavy rain outside the tent.
The Student Council volunteered at the children’s booth from 11 to 9 on Friday and Saturday.
They provided supplies for crafts and helped the children with their projects.
“It was completely free,” Zynda said, “We provided all the supplies so they could make bracelets and do a bunch of activities.”
It was pouring rain during the event, but that didn’t stop the Student Council members from going to help because it was a good cause.
“I think Falls Fest was still a success,” Student Council president Taylor Caswell said. “We had a lot of volunteers, and they all went and did a great job.”
