As one, students assembled at the pole for See You at the Pole. This student-led event held Wednesday morning 45 minutes before any classes started had a turn out with dozens of students.
“Worshiping with the high school students was a blessing,” junior Sydney Frank said. “Most of the time you feel so alone.”
There was a set theme: one body, one Christ, and one Faith.
Rider’s see you at the pole speaker, Aubrey Ellett, thought about past Sunday services and spoke with her father, Taz Ellett, a youth minister who has spoken for the FCA.
“I was nervous and I was exited,” Ellett said. “I prayed that God would calm my nerves this morning.”
The event’s turn out included both students and non-students. Several older faces could be seen listening in on the inspiring and uplifting mini-service. First Baptist youth leaders woke up early to attend.
“We are here to support our students praying at their school for their city and for their Nation,” youth leader Natalie Self said.
