More and more students are getting caught parking in reserved spots. Although the parking policy is not new, a ridiculous number of students are getting towed at their own expense.
“I park in the same spot every day and didn’t get towed until the second semester,” junior Tiffany Norman said. “I got towed last year, too.”
The best way to not get towed is to parallel park on the curb or to buy a parking spot. Several spots are still up for grabs at the discipline office for $40.
Some students argue that the spots are too expensive, but keep in mind that getting towed is $150 and inconvenient.
“My mom paid for half of it, and I have to pay that half back,” Norman said. “Plus, it was pretty embarrassing to have to call her and tell her.”
