Skillet’s Awake CD may be the most sought after stocking stuffer this holiday season. With such songs as “Monster” and the title song, “Awake and Alive,” this album is sure to stay in your stereo for weeks on end. Although it is the band’s eighth album, it is generating this Christian rock band the most attention to date. Although there are heavier songs such as “It’s Not Me, It’s You,” and “Monster,” there are ballads like “Don’t Wake Me” to keep the listener wondering what’s coming at them next.
Since Skillet is a Christian band, you can rest assured that this alum is appropriate for the entire family, except for maybe younger kids since Skillet’s style is in-your-face.
On a scale of zero to five music notes, I would give this compilation of wild songs a solid four and a half.

I honestly hate skillets new album. the album that came before Alive and Awake, Comatose, is pretty much one of the best contemporary christian albums of all time. Just sayin.
